Greetings,
I've had an HP MCE with Vista Home Premium preloaded for about 4 months.
I just used the "Help and Support" feature for the first time and notice the
images are missing, just red X's in a square appear. The code behind the
page shows the image source [Img Src] as a file or folder named "MSHELP"
(img src="MSHELP://Help/?id=Microsoft.Windows.Resources) I've downloaded
WinHlp32.exe, and tried all fixes I could find in the NGs but still can't
find MSHELP. Can you tell me where it is, or why images don't appear in
"Help?" Microsoft seems to want $59 to provide the answer. Everything else
is working normally.
Thanks,
Mike from Moriches

Icons in Help are missing - This happens if the "Content Type" setting
for .PNG file types is broken. Download a REG file from Daniel Martin's
site here:

http://winvista.mvps.org/Ficheros/PNG.reg - Download and save it to
Desktop. Right-click on the file and choose Merge.

I am somewhat confused. I understand that I am supposed to Merge the
file into another location, but the problem is I have no idea where
that location is. After saving the file to my desktop, I do not have a
Merge option upon right-clicking. Any suggestions, or possibly where I
am supposed to Merge the file to?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Try double-clicking it instead. You should get a dialog box that says
something like "do you want to merge this into the Registry?". Say
"yes". There is no "another location". This is a Registry edit that will
be merged into your Registry to correct the problem.
