Vista has encountered an error!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it goes through the first process and then gets to about 50% on the second
one and then it says " vista has encountered an error and cannot continue" or
something along those lines... i tried it over and over like seven or eight
times. someone please help me.........,vista home premium " green box" dell
dimension desktop 8400 windows XP SP2fully updated..... any suggestions ?

Typically, crashes and freezes are caused by incompatible device
drivers. First make sure that you have any/all Vista-compatible
drivers for your hardware -- video chips and SATA chips being the
biggest troublemakers I've noted here.

Are you trying an upgrade over your XP? You might get better
results with a clean install in a separate partition.

Go back to Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Otherwise . . .

You need a new computer! Oh yes, then you need to replace your printer and
any other peripherals you have because . . . THEY ARE NOT SUPPORTED!
