Vista goes to sleep with running programs

How can I make Vista is staying awake when some programs are running on a
background and most of resources are not taken?

Set the power options to force it to stay awake?

Start/Orb, type Power Options, select from list

Win + X
turn on "presentation mode"

but then remember to turn off monitor / or Fn+LCD in laptop
