nominal is approx 8gb of free disk space on the install drive. some people require more than that.
10-12GB is a sweet spot number range.

hello everyone,. i've been running linux for quite some time and am
happy with it, anyway a friend of mine got windows vista DVD and want
me to install it for him, he have windows xp home sp2, whenever i try
to install vista on it i get the error message saying that i need to
free about 431mb cause it needs it for temp files, i've cleaned drive C
and now it has 1.2GB free space, plus about 6GB free in the resr of the
drives, and it keep saying it! the same 431mb! restarted, tried on safe
mode, no go
any idea what might be the case?
