Vista feb.ctp problem

advice: dont install Vista for him.. its still beta or rather its more like
alpha if you ask me....

Do it on a test machine or virtual machine if you want to try it out.
 
hello everyone,. i've been running linux for quite some time and a
happy with it, anyway a friend of mine got windows vista DVD and wan
me to install it for him, he have windows xp home sp2, whenever i tr
to install vista on it i get the error message saying that i need t
free about 431mb cause it needs it for temp files, i've cleaned drive
and now it has 1.2GB free space, plus about 6GB free in the resr of th
drives, and it keep saying it! the same 431mb! restarted, tried on saf
mode, no go
any idea what might be the case?

nominal is approx 8gb of free disk space on the install drive. some people require more than that.
10-12GB is a sweet spot number range.

i've formated a 16GB partition, its the same problem installation wont
even start claming i have no space for temp files
it will be dualboot with windows XP
