Vista Event Viewer SUCKS!

Is there a way to view the Classic Event Viewer? You know, the one
that loads once and only once? I am sure
the new Event Viewer can impress a few but it has too many bells and
whistles that I could care less about.

This has been my need:

A general view of all events. I can deal with the initial load. But,
damn. When switching between an event and all events, IT RELOADS. This
is a crime in efficient design. With me?

At least, i'm asking: classic event viewer option? I'm sure the
developers impressed themselves with the new event viewer but not me
and from what I read, not many others.

I'm afraid I'm not. What do you mean by "switching between an event and all
events"? When I open the event viewer I get a list a panel with a list of
events at the top of the screen and a panel that shows the event detail on
the bottom. When I scroll to a new event nothing reloads.
