Vista Downgrade

Guest

I purchased my laptop pre-Vista release. I have since been issued a license
for Vista Business. I have no use for this version and would like to install
Home Premium. Is there any way to downgrade? Will a key from a uper level
version of Vista unlock any of the versions below it? I would like to change
to Vista but want all the media apps. If I have to buy it I guess I will
stick with XP

why "downgrade" to another version of vista
and not "upgrade" to a faster, more stable and smarter OS= XP?

Vista Business to Home Premium is NOT a downgrade, they are
just different editions of Vista.

So no your Vista key will install the edition that it is for you can't
simply choose a different edition.

So to get all the media center apps that come with Home Premium
you would need to buy and upgrade. You could of course install
your Vista Business and do an anytime upgrade to Vista Ultimate.

Maybe because he doesn't want to go back to an older, out-dated operating
system? Is that your only "solution" for the Vista blues? Sad.

Can't argue with you there.

Even if this is a lateral move, if you bought business and decided that you
were more interested in the media features of home premium then it seems as
though you should still be able to change from business to home premium.
