Vista disconnecting from internet

Hello,

I've just purchased a second laptop and this comes with Vista. However,
although I can connect to the internet the connection seems to get dropped
after a while. Is there a setting that I can make that will keep me
connection until I decide to end the session?

Are you using a wireless NIC? If so, is the ethernet NIC disabled? If not,
try disabling it in device manager. Or... if you're using an ethernet NIC
and have a wireless NIC too, try disabling the wireless NIC. Good luck!
