Vista deletes IP properties when switching from Wireless to cable

Hello,
I'm new to Vista and have a problem with my network.
I can connect to it either "classically" using a cable or with the wireless.
My network requires the use of given IP addresses.
When I change from cable to Wireless (and vice-versa), Vista deletes all the settings I had put in and switches back to "obtain an IP address automatically". This is quite annoying to have to type in the IP properties every time I change my connection mode.

Can you help me?
Thanks in advance.
