vista compatibility issues

Hi All!

I am automating Word/Excel 2007 in VC++ using type lib of Office-97.
Whenever i am opening any document in Word/Excel using my software, it
gives an error "The requested member of the collection does not
exist.", at first run.
But, after closing and running the software again, it runs
successfully but in compatibility mode.

Is there any way to run the software successfully all the time?
