Vista cannot find USB drivers

Every time I plug in a USB accessory, Vista can't find the driver - how do I
fix this?

Could you give us an idea of what type of USB accessory you are having
problems with? Hub, Thumb drive?

Locate and install the appropriate Chipset driver package for your
motherboard. Will be either Intel, VIA, nVidia or ATI.

I'm having the same issue. No matter what flash drive, accessory (optical
mouse), or other peripheral I plug in, it can't find the drivers at all. I
even bought a brand new "Vista compatible" flash drive-same issue. It seems
like all the generic USB drivers are missing or corrupted.
McCarty, I like your idea, but I'm not sure where to start. I have an
Intel Core Duo processor. Any help will be appreciated.
