Vista Build 5744 doesn't want to upgrade build 5536

Guys,

do you know why I have to perform clean install of RC2 5744 and Upgrade is
not available ? (dimmed)
Of course I have started Setup from Vista Pre-RC1 Build 5536 (and tried boot
from setup DVD either, just for sure)
but no luck to have Upgrade button active.

Tomas,

I believe older versions of Vista, like yours, are not eligible for
upgrading to version 5744. However, have you tried installing from within
the Vista environment? Later versions allowed you to upgrade if you started
the DVD from within the Vista environment. You've probably tried that
scenario already. If so, and still no upgrade choice, then a clean install
is all you have.
