vista and webcam

It all depends on the application you are using it in.
Unlike with XP, the webcam will not appear in "My Computer"
I don't know why it doesn't anymore, but in all my efforts I have not
succeeded in getting it to appear.

If you use MSN, AIM, or any other program that uses your webcam, you will
have to set it up manually in options.
If you could tell me the application you are using the webcam in, I could
give you proper instructions.

Hello Monty

1) Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your webcam ...
you will have to go the the HP.com site to check.
2) If you have some IM program like Live messenger, or Yahoo messenger,
you can start the camera to see if its working from within those programs...

if you need any further assistance post back

You do not see anything because you webcam is looking at the future !

he isn't used to time travel yet...

I get timemachine-lag every now and then... :-)

no big deal

Hey Adam, I think we should put together a holy vistaboy vista prayer...
so the vistaboys can say each day and worship their vista even better....

Something like this (feel free to improve and expand):

Oh divine and all powerful Vista,
we worship you in all your splendor...
your holy gadgets, your gleaming auroras,
Your transparent grace...
and your tender services that make us feel secure.....

We know that all the tests you put us through
the blue screens, and the freezes, the constant UAC's
the WGA's and the DRM's
are only tests to see the power of our worship and belief for you...

Not to worry, Our faith is strong..
We will close our ears to all the voices!
No logic can weaken our faith!
And we will hunt and catch all who are the scoffers,
those who make fun of you and try degrade you!
*Especially that snotty tiberius guy...*

We will catch them all and burn them to the stake...!
Because we are full of love....oh true, pure love....

Love for only you great Vista.....may your updates be many...

I got a much better idea...why don't we (us "Vistaboys"...you know...the
ones who know what we're doing) put together a book for all of you
"Vistahaters", (aka, incompetent losers) ...and we'll call it..."Vista
for Dummies'...but then again, we might be looking at only about 18-20
(last count) incompetent big mouth as*holes who might purchase it.
