Vista and nVidia Driver Error - Help Needed

Im one of those that is also getting the 'nvlddmkm.dll' error "Display Driver
stopped responding ..."

I have searched dozens of forums and tried every single one of the
"solutions". Nothing has worked so far. Maybe because most of the solutions
i've seen are more than 6 months old.
Mean Time to Fail = ~5min in Game. Not that often outside in the desktop.

Video card: nVidia 7900GS.
Current Driver Version: 7.15.11.6375 (169.21)
I have tried with 162.22, 163.69, 163.75, 169.12, 169.21. All do the same.

Im wondering if anyone knows the latest solution to this problem. It is
really starting to anoy me.

If it's an NVidia based motherboard are the other drivers available on
their site up to date, if it's not then what about other
chipset drivers from whatever manufacturer?

Are you using the drivers from the installation cd. I have found in the
past that installing new drivers can in some instance cause more
problems than solve.

You are dead on. On my HP desktop, the *only* nVidia drivers that work
perfectly are the updated drivers from the HP support site. Updated
rivers from nVidia fail, for whatever reason that HP has modified the
details of the nVidia card.
