About once a month I get a blue screen with a
"POWER_DRIVER_ERROR". Recently after I reboot, Vista
will give a notification about searching for a solution,
on line.

The recommendation is to update the Nvidia SATA driver
on the system. The problem is the motherboard is a
Gigabyte with Intel chipset. The SATA chip is called
"Gigabyte 2" which I think uses Intel drivers. I do have
an Nvidia Video card.

Any one have any idea what Vista is doing here?

ps. Tried to view the minidmp, but can't find a
solution.

Thanks

Gigabyte2 is a JMicron chip.

downloaded latest driver hopefully will solve problem.
Also downloaded latest nvidea driver for video
Hopefully this will help.

Still don't understand why Vista thought the SATA driver
is Nvidia

Thanks for your help
