Vista and ME, 98, XP on System Commander 8 problems...

N

Noncompliant

Yep, lotta older versions of windows have trouble or can't be installed with
current hardware. Some have drivers available, but advertised not available
by the hardware makers. Even though the driver package provided has 98SE/ME
support under a separate folder in the driver package.

System commander's supporting files can be installed in a msdos partition.
6.22 minimum version. If sys.com is added to a 98/98SE/ME startup diskette,
or similar boot diskette. Using the sys command on the available C: is all
it needs to make that partition bootable and usable for system commander
system files.

Am not discounting your reply about system commander new version problems
with Vista. Providing alternate solutions, even if the Vista problem is
fixed was/is my goal here. I appreciate your participation in this
newsgroup.
