Vista and Java 5

Jeff

Hi,
Just an FYI for anyone having issues with Vista and Java; (reprinted
from--http://www.iexbeta.com/wiki/index.php/Windows_Vista_Beta_2_Software_Compatibility_List)

NOTICE: It seems that most, if not all, Java-based Windows applications
disable Aero Glass. This is only temporary and the effects are restored when
the program is closed. This issue has been fixed in the latest builds of
Java 6.

Here's the download for Java 6

http://java.sun.com/javase/6/download.jsp

The Java SE Development Kit (JDK) supports creating Java SE applications

The Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java
applications.

(reprinted also)

And Macromedia Flashplayer 9 is now available

Thanks Jeff,
I'd just like to point out that the link you provided is for Java 6, which
is in BETA 2.
The released version is Java 5 (as mentioned in your Subject) which is found
at the same site.

Nothing against betas here - kind of of wishing I could have used the same
principal in marriage.

Colin:
I disagree. It's easier to stay in trouble than try to get out of it
(and that's gender neutral).

It's also more fun.

But, trouble is trouble.
