vista and itunes

I know I can't be the only one having problems with vista/itunes. I have
searched this site and the apple site, but can't find an answer. I can't
burn a cd in itunes without reinstalling it. If I reinstall, then my cd/dvd
drive disappears. I then go into the registry settings and make the
adjustments I have been told to, and again I have to reinstall itunes and the
whole thing keeps happening. When my cd/dvd drive is working I have a yellow
exclamation point next to one of my network adapters that is not there when
my cd/dvd drive is not working. I know this is long and probably confusing,
but I don't know if it is problem with itunes or my computer. I did get a new
cd/dvd drive and installed it thinking it was the problem, but its not. Can
anyone help????

Apple wants you to think Vista is junk so you will buy a Mac.

It sounds like your network adapter and CD Drive have a hardware conflict.
Has you tried burning CD with other software (RealPlayer, WMP, etc). It may
not be an iTunes problem. FYI also have Vista Home Premium and iTunes and
have been burning CD with it with no problem.

Thank for the reply. I can burn cd's on wmp as long as I haven't
reinstalled itunes, which is what seems to make my drive unuseable.
