Hi,
I just got vista and the product key is for ultimate. windows vista upgrade
advisor tells me that my system is best suited for home basic, does anyone
know how to just install the home basic, Thanks

Install as tho you were going to install Ultimate but when you get to where
you have to put the product code/key in, choose not to and follow the
installation thru.(selecting Home basic).
Then you will have Home basic to try BUT for only 30 days.

Or go ahead and install Ultimate and do not use any ultimate features such
as Media Center or Aero since they may not work.

I would install Ultimate. You can then activate it for the full trial period.
You may not be able to use all of the features of Ultimate, but it sounds as
though your PC would not support all of the features anyway.
