Visioneer 8920 scanner

When I install scanner, my computer slows down and
sometimes hangs up,freezes, or locks up, whatever the
proper term is. Sometimes have to unplug the power and
start over. When I uninstal the scanner, everything seems
mormal. Any suggestions?

Are you using the latest Windows XP drivers for the scanner?
Contact the scanner manufacturer.
