Is there a way of using established links and reference points (on-page,
off-page references), in a Visio drawing after linking the drawing pages in a
Powerpoint presentation?

Powerpoint presentation?

PowerPoint looks at a linked document and sees:

1) That it IS a linked document
2) A picture of the content linked to; that's what it displays and prints
3) The path to the source linked document so it can launch it in the appropriate
program when you doubleclick the linked content.

That's about it.

If you know the object model of the source application and the object model
gives you access to what you need and the source app is available on the system
and you can do some VBA coding, you can use automation to do pretty much
anything. Bring in the milk, put out the cat, make sure you floss after every
meal, and probably get at the stuff in the Visio thingie.

Sorry Steve your msg was to cryptic.

The Visio drawing (process flow) was created. I am attempting to my a Pp
slide show presentation. In the slide show I wanted to be able to click on
the existing "on-page" references to go to the next process box on the same
slide or on an "off-page" to go to the next slide or back to the previous
slide, dependent on which slide or direction I might be referring to in my
presentation.

Can I do this and how?

Thanks for your feedback.

Sorry Steve your msg was to cryptic.

Yours as well, I'm afraid. I suspect I'm speaking PPT to a Visio-speaker and you're
speaking Visio to me. ;-)

What are "on-page" and "off-page" references?

When you mention "click on the existing "on-page" references to go to the next
process box on the same slide" what exactly do you want to do? I'm trying to
visualize this; PPT has a given slide on the screen with, let's say, parts of a flow
chart. Do you want the next process box to highlight in some way when you click on
the previous one? Is that what "go to" means in this case?
