The chances are your viruses came from somewhere else. Except for some small
amount of spam, there has been no problem recently on these newsgroups.

Well, this isn't a website; it's a Usenet newsgroup. And I have seen
no indication of any viruses or worms, and the good folks at Microsoft
who monitor for such things are very good at their jobs.

Could you cite an example? Newsgroup name and messageID of a
purportedly infected posting for example?

As noted elsethread, I strongly suspect that your infestations come
from elsewhere; or (more likely) you're receiving virus EMails because
you have unwisely posted your in-clear EMail address to the
(publically available) newsgroup. Viruses routinely harvest addresses
from newsgroup postings. You'll note that my From and Reply-To
addresses are spamtrapped; most folks who post often to the newsgroups
use this technique, or use an email address that exists only as a
newsgroup spamtrap.
