Virus won't let me run any antivirus programs

I got this virus that's is sending out bogus emails from my account. I
tried to download Norton, and it keeps telling me when I install it
that some of the files are corrupt and to restart. I keep restarting
but it never installs to a point where I can run the anti virus
program. any thoughts? thanks

Have you identified the virus? Try to remove it manually.

"tried to download Norton"? Didn't you have an anti-virus program
installed prior to this? Try this free one, it will clean it up for you.

http://www.sophos.com
For Anti-Adware go here:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ ; for SE lavasoft for personal use
http://www.safer-networking.org/ ; for S&D spybot
Then after all clean try System Restore for a date before get infected with
virus.
