No. Most people use a fake email address.

This would happened to you if you posted to *any newsgroup* on any public
server. I, too, learned the hard way about using a real email address in
newsgroups.
As a start, change your email in all public news accounts to a bogus one.
However, as the cat is already out of the bag, see if you can change your
real address through your ISP. A pain, I know, but the only way to stop the
bleeding.
