virus scan

hi

recently i tried to update my virus scanner.its
called. "PC-cillin 2002 real-time monitor" and when i try
2 update it..it will say.."PC-cillin response sever timed
out"

any ideas to waht is wrong? or how to fix it? thx

The Internet is slow and the server times out. It could be
that you have setting for your firewall that is stopping the
update, but I doubt it. Everybody is updating and the
servers can only do some much. Try again at a later time
during off-peak hours.

It could even be a virus that was designed to block
anti-virus updates, you might try an on-line scan.
