Virus removal

I recently scanned my pc and the program detected the Downloader.GK virus. I
have looked in several places but cannot find a way to remove it. Can anyone
help?
 
What program did you scan your pc with? All virus checkers (i.e., Norton,
etc.) should give you the option of removing the virus once detected.
 
Yes, but that doesn't get rid of all bits of many viruses. Some need
special tools. You need to go to your virus program vendor's web site
and read the instructions there.

Have you run an updated Spybot Search & Destroy or update Ad-Aware scan?


Most "Downloader" trojans are usualy removed by Spyware removers, as they
are often trojans .... instead of viruses .... Although Panda Antivirus and
others "call it a virus"
