Virus protection for Windows 95??

Hi

Well, actually I'm not using Windows 95 - I'm using 98 Lite, which uses the
Win 95 shell. Because of this I can't use the latest version of McAfee
Virus Scan (and they're no longer supporting the previous version).

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good 95-compatible virus
protection program?

Thanks

Anything that doesn't rely on IE x.x will work. This of course rules
out McAffee and Nrotten. AVG, F-PROT, NOD32 and countless others
should work for you.

Begs the question, though, as to why you can't upgrade from whatever
it is you're using (95/98Lite - I'd not heard of a 98Lite) to at least
W98 Second Edition?

As far as I remember, any computer that can run W95 should be able to
run W98 SE. Anyone with info to the contrary?

Err, he is using Win98 SE. 98 lite allows you to replace the Win98
shell with the Win95 one to give a speed increase on older PCs.

I have had an installation disk tell me so, but it was on a machine
with no math co-processor (386SX w/o external or emulated math)

I doubt that that is the OP's situation though.
