Virus Please Help

Ive been getting this System Shutdown Message for a while...it appears to be the Blaster Virus but i dont have any of the msblast.exe,etc. files. I can not set up a firewall becuase it says Windows Management Instrumentation infromation might be corrupted.It says to use System Restore but i dont have any saved points.Ive looked on the internet and done a couple things that were supposed to do away with the Virus.The System Shutdown Message seems to show up most when i manually disconnect from the internet(earthlink) or when the computer gets very choppy like and slows down.Please e-mail my email address if u have any solutions.

It could be Blaster. It could be Sasser. It could be something
else. It's very hard to diagnose it if you don't supply the
message you're getting.
