New Blaster Virus?

D

df

I am facing virus challenges with my PC.

Here are the symptoms:

1 - I get the NT Authority System RPC shutdown message. My PC restarts
every 5min automatically. This is like the Blaster Virus.
2 - I cannot connect to the internet. The virus removed my network
connections. I do not see any connections in /control panel/network
connections.
3 - I cannot install the Microsoft patch. The virus stops the install.
4 - I ran all the worm finders from McAfee and Symantec. Nothing is
found!
5 - In process, msblast.exe or
6 - In the registry keys, windows auto update and msblast are not
there.

It looks like the Blaster virus (LovSan), and nothing solves it!
What should I do?
Please help!

Thank you so much.

You've been answered above. Can you boot into safe mode with networking?
To stop the shutdown process
Start - Run - type cmd
in the command line type shutdown -a

You should be able to d/l a scanner onto a CD from another computer.

Go here and follow instructions:

Anything's possible these days. See this triage procedure which should
allow you to connect: http://aumha.org/win5/a/blaster.htm.

Now see:

Before You Connect a New Computer to the Internet
http://www.cert.org/tech_tips/before_you_plug_in.html

Make absolutely certain that your anti-virus application is configured to
update (and perform a full system scan after doing so) daily, at a time when
the machine is usually running and connected.

ooooo....sorry to hear about that mate. Well firstly have
you got a anitVirus program? if so, try scaning and
finding the name of the virus, from there you can
progress onto symantec's website to find the cure. Here's
a link to there worm removal list
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/tools.list.h
tml

Second option: If you haven't got a antiVirus system, or
it's been infected by the virus you could try and do a
online virus scan. Very good for situations like yours.

Link: http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/vc_scan.asp?
langid=ie&venid=sym&plfid=23&pkj=MFZVWHFHMFNZMBBXLKU&vc_sc
anstate=2

Third Option: You could try system Restore, and restore
it back afews ago as the virus may have been saved as a
backup

Forth Option: Well...this is the worst part, where
nothing works. In situations like that i guess your just
gonna have to format the hard drive, and re-install the
operating system.

NOTE: THERE'S NO POINT IN "THINKING" YOU KNOW WHAT VIRUS
IT IS, ITS BEST TO KNOW WHAT VIRUS IT IS THEREFORE MAKING
YOUR LIFE EASIER :)
