Virus or Spyware??

Hi Everyone,

I am running Windows XP Home edition, today after I opened a Point power
file, all my desktop filled with a Pattern which is similar to the one of the
pattern you find in the MS WORD-->Format-->Background-->Fill
Effects-->Pattern. However, it is only showing in Office application, but
everywhere.

I suspect this is some sort of spyware or Virus, I am running home edition
Avast, but obvious it did prevent it. Can anyone tell me what it is, please?
