virus on microsoft word

when i open microsoft word i get a msg saying there is a virus and do i want
to delet it when i qlick yes i can do my work
but when i open it again the same msg comes up also if i save something on
word to open on a nother pc will it infect the pc

Can't imagine a virus would identify itself, and I don't think Word checks
for viruses.

But, this is not a Word newsgroup. This is an Access newsgroup. When you
repost to the proper newsgroup, be specific. What exactly does the error
message say? What are your options? What exactly happens when you select
one? What version of Word are you using? What virus protection software do
you have?
