Virus Issue

Hi All,

Two questions but I am sure there must be a connection somewhere....(No idea
really, but really need advice)

I cannot delete a dialer that appears and re-appears, every time i close
down and re-open the pc, regardless of how many times i delete it. Norton and
S & D, do not appear to be able to delete this either. I have located it at
C:\\windows\temp\idd7f.exe, tried to manually delete but pop up states that
this process is not authorised, etc.

The second problem is that my screen keeps going black for about one second,
but this is happeneing more and more frequently, ie every 2 minutes now. I
have tried the screen with another pc and no probs, could this be related to
a virus?

Enter safe mode and try to delete it again.

As a postscript to my response, Once in safe mode, find the file in Win
Explorer then right click it and choose properties. Once there, there is an
'extra' tab up top that was not there before in normal mode. This allows
you to take ownership of the file (read/write/execute etc) and once you take
ownership, you should be able to delete it okay.
