I installed a McAfee uninstaller program version 6.5
which was supposed to uninstall "junk" from my computer.
Whatever it did, I now seem to have "virtual fonts" on my
windows xp home edition menus. ie. If I turn the
computer off, I lose my fonts and when it is turned back
on everything is garbled. I can get them back by going
to control panel, fonts but I also have to change themes
for some reason.... but they won't stay.
Has anyone else run into this? I have uninstall the
uninstaller program and can't seem to do a system restore
that will take me back far enough to fix this. If
someone knows how to fix this I would appreciate a reply
at the email address listed above.
Thanks.

Sounds like you may have to do a Repair Install. Pop in your XP CD and
boot with it. Choose "Install" and then "Repair".
