Press F1 from where? Doing it from the desktop brings up the Help and Support Center. Typing in "Virtual Memory" does
not give me an article on "Change the size of the virtual memory paging file" It gives 35 other articles. But if I
search on "Change the size of the virtual memory paging file" you get an aticle with that title on how to do it.
____ _

It's listed in the "Pick a task" section, before the "Overview, Articles
and Tutorials" section

Thank you very much, so far seems to be working much better. Couldn't have
done it without all the help. Thanks again, Puppytina

yes, that f drive
was what I attempted
to describe.

however, in the top
portion of that window
where you change the
virtual memory settings,

there will be a listing
showing the drives.

we know you have at
least 1 drive there and
would be the c drive.

if the f drive also shows
there, then it also has
the capacity to have
a page file / virtual memory.

what we want to see
reflected in that window
is that for the c drive
you have 2 - 1150

if the f drive also appears
in that window, we want
it blank.

so, with you mouse
click the c drive so
that it is highlighted.

then below that window
click on custom.

the field next to it will
become populated
with that 768 number
you mentioned.

therefore change it
to 1150 for the max
and 2 for initial size.

then click the set button.

"a warning message
will appear about the
initial size being too
low. however, click
ok to proceed with
our custom settings."

----------

if F appears in the window
then click on with your
mouse to highlight it.

then below be sure to
select none or no page
file.

(don't remember exactly
if it is no or none that is
worded for the option)

then click set.

then reboot.

and recheck to see
if the settings stuck.
