virtual memory

I have a game installed and every time I open I have a warning message popu
that says my virtual memory is to low at 140mb and I should reduce my screen
resolution. I'm running AMD 2400 at 133x15 fsb, with 1gb memory.nvidia gforce4 mx44
my memory is set at 3000mb where it is recommended
when i.m able to log into the game the front page it always scramble

This does'nt sound like a virtual memory problem to
