Can anybody tell me how and what I should increase my virtual memory to,as I
am being prompted every time I turn my system on.
Thx,
Steve.
P.S. At the moment it is 144-288

My rule of thumb that I take from job to job with me is
to double the amount of physical RAM in your machine and
set that as the initial amount and the maximum amount.
Opinions vary though.

It appears you are setting a min and max. Try letting the system control
your virtual memory and see if that resolves the issue. Open Control Panel,
open System, go to the Advanced tab, click Settings under Performance, go to
the Advanced tab, click Change under Virtual Memory, select System Managed
Size and click set. For comparison purposes, I have 256MB of Ram on my
system and I'm using a custom setting of 384 and 768 but I would suggest
letting the system manage your pagefile to begin with to see if that
resolves the issue.
