I have recently been unable to reach some internet sites
and receive a msg saying my virtual memory is too
small ... ?? What is virtual memory and how do I fix
this?

thanks

I seriously doubt that a web site would cause your system
to have to little pagefile(virtual memory). However in
your case it would be best to have this option set to
system managed size and can be done by going>start\control
panel\and double click to open system. Now click the
advanced tab and under the performance section click the
settings button and then click the advanced tab again and
down the bottome you will see a section titled "virtual
Memory" now click the change button and then put a dot in
system managed size. Or you can choose to have your own
settings. I have mine set to an initial size of 150 and a
max of 1500. That does for most applications. I rather
suspect you need more RAM though. I recommend a minimum of
512MB of RAM for XP and today some would argue that 1GB is
barely enough for some visually intense games. Good luck.
