How much empty space is there on your hard drive?

Open "My Computer", right-click on the icon for Drive C:, and select
Properties.

If that shows a resonable amount of free space (e.g. more than 300 mb)
then try using Start - Run and enter

CHKDSK C: /F

in the dialog box.

That will sort out any problems with the logical data structure on the
drive.

Good luck
