Virtual Memory

Hi,

Is there a way I can force win2k to use more physical
memory rather than virtual memory. Seems a waste to have
1gig ram and only use 256Mb of it... Would like to see
win2k using somthing more like 512Mb-768Mb

Lindsay,

What are the settings for your virtual memory (max and min sizes).

Based on how the Windows 2000 memory manager works, Windows 2000 will
actually use more physical RAM the larger your pagefile. I'd recommend
setting the min/max to 3x RAM and see what that does for you.
