Virtual Memory too Low

S

Scott Ramsey

Hi
I keep getting this message when watching TV on my PC and when editing lots
of photographs.

"Windows Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low!

Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your
virtual memory paging file. During this process, memory requests for some
applications may be denied. For more information, see Help."

I have looked at the help section which did not help.
Do I need to buy some more RAM ?
Cheers
Scott.

See www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm You probably need to increase the
Initial size of the page file, to avoid the message - and run the tool
linked from the 'How big a page file' to see how much you actually use.
If that is substantial then some more RAM might well be a good idea.
256MB is a good start point, but there are a lot of work patterns that
need more
