Lately when I'm downloading large files, I get a little
message which pops up in the bottom right corner of the
screen which says that my virtual memory may be too small
and windows will try to make it bigger. I've x'd out of
this little screen and the download goes on. After doing
this 5 or 6 times my computer runns very slow, and the
little hard-drive light blinks furiously anytime the
computer is executing any command. someone told me this
is because my virtual memory now accesses too much of the
main memory and any download will automatically default
to the main memory, thus leaving the hard drive as the
only place to download to.
I don't understand that explanation, but it seems that I
need to reset the space alocation for virtual memory back
to the original default position. I just don't know how,
or where to reset that default. Could someone please
point me in the right direction to reset my original
defaults?
