When I try and run a game it tells me I need to have a
newer version of microsoft virtual machine and takes me
to the microsoft windows update page to get the download,
but it is not there. Where can I find the update?

Go to Start/Run and type in "wjview" without the quotes. If it shows you
less than build 38.10 of the VM, take a look at this web page for details
and download locations:
