Virtual device driver mmd.386 not loaded in Visual C++ 1.0

When i compile a VC++ 1.0 program in windows XP, Virtual
device driver mmd.386 is not loaded in windows error is
coming. it asked to check in system.ini 386[enH] section
for <device for setup binaries>

In system.ini, following line is already specifed in 386
[enh]section.

device=c:\msvc\bin\mmd.386.

In microsoft help, it is specified that XP system, will
not look it from system.ini for device driver. how to
solve the program to work fine of VC++ 1.0 in Windows XP?

Require this help urgently..
