Hi
Is it possible to have just ONE folder opening with Thumbnails and all the
others with details. Been playing around for ages and haven't been able to
sort it yet. They all seem to show Icons no matte what and I have to change
every time. Thanks for any help. Taking a lot of getting used to this XP

The Default for Windows XP is to remember the view settings for the 400 most
recently used folders. The regedit from Kelly's site will increase this limit
and you can adjust folders to your preference and Windows will remember them.
Increase Folder View Options Limit: (Line 2):

then
To set all folders in detail view, go to Tools, Folder Options, Select View
Then select Apply to all folders.
Now adjust the folder you want to show only thumbnails.
