Viewing Tif file

We have a Minolta printer/copier/scanner. to retrieve the scans from the
Fiery Server we have 2 file format choices, Acrobat (PDF) and TIFF file. When
some users retrive the TIF file an application such as a Kodak Imager Viewer
displays the TIF and allows the user to save the scan. Other computers open
the file in Internet Explorer and do not have saving options. All would like
to bring up the image in an application that can be saved.

I have right clicked a TIF file and asked that it always use a specific
viewer. I have gone into the associations and assigned TIF a viewer but it
still comes up in Internet Explorer.

I think sometimes QuickTime gets in the way as well however uninstalling
QuickTime has not solved the problem.

Does anyone have a suggestion?
