Viewing published site.

I published my web and then selected "Click here to view your published web
site."

I was then asked for my user name and password once again. I can view the
site by hitting cancel or by entering the user name and password.

I think it could be an IE problem but I think people in that news group will
blame it on FrontPage. BTW, I only have this problem on a new computer.
The old computer publishes just fine using the same the same programs.

Must be a setting somewhere in IE.

Anybody else have this problem?

try help/ detect and repair on the offending copy of FrontPage.

Is this a password protected site?
If so then you need to logon to view it. This is normal.

Didn't work and I didn't expect it would since I am running the same program
and working on the same page with no problem from another computer.

It seems to only happen from the computer which published the site after I
downloaded the site from the server to the new computer. I must have
downloaded more than just the site. At this point it must be a FrontPage
rather than IE issue.

I have a folder identified as "aspnet_client" that evidently was
downloaded. It contains folders:
1_0_3705_0
1_0_3705_288
1_1_43220

Each folder contains files: SmartNav, WebUIValidation, SmartNavIES

The "aspnet_client" folder should not have any impact on you opening, publishing or viewing the site
unless you are using ASP.net coding.
