Viewing more photos on desktop

When I move from one web page to another with windows XP, the viewed ones
no longer 'stack up' in the task bar at the bottom for easy looking at
again.

Also with my photographs, I cannot view two of them at once on the desk top,
only one at a time.

Would be grateful if anyone can advise me on how to return to my former
settings, so I can view several items at the same time. Thanks

Try Internet options, Advanced, UNcheck "Reuse windows for launching
shortcuts".
