Viewing jpg images

I have been having problems viewing jpg images. My xp
computer treats every jpg image as an apple quicktime
picture and tries to open with the apple quicktime
picture viewer rather than windows picture viewer. This
happens with any scanned in images and with any
attachments from email messages. I figure there must be
a way to make windows picture viewer a default, but I
have no idea how. Please help anyone...

Click on a image | select opens with then choose program | select the
program | check the box always use the selected program to open this kind of
file and click OK.
