Viewing JPEG attachments in Outlook 2003 with Word as the editor

In OE I can preview an attached JPEG file but in Outlook 2003 with Word as the editor I only see the icon for the attached picture. Anyway to preview the pictures?

same to me,
first time today changing to use outlook from outlook express for only print preview function needed,
curious to know why no jpeg picture in outlook message.

Outlook doesn't have this option. Outlook wil show the message the way that
is was send. If they embed the picture the picture will show and when they
attach the picture the picture will show up as attachment.

Double - click the attachment? Opens in what ever is the default viewer. If
I remember correctly it is the Fax Viewer in XP, not IE that would be
better. I changed the association to an actual editor.
