Display Pictures In Preview Pane

I am trying to have jpegs and various other pictures
display automatically in the message preview pane. They
are just appearing as attachments. I was able to do this
with Outlook Express but am unable to do it in Outlook
2003.

Actually Outlook XP does if the image is embedded and not
included as an attachment. I view a lot of my graphic
group mail that way.

Outlook does not do that.

OK, if you want the long version:
Outlook does not feature inline preview unless you're viewing an HTML item
with images embedded or an RTF mail item with OLE embedded objects. Attached
images will not display in the Preview pane in Outlook, which is what the OP
was asking about.
