Hello,

Does anyone know of a way, 3rd party or not to have the status of the
Wi-Fi connection on the CTRL+ALT+DEL domain logon screen? I have 100+
laptops that users complain difficulty logging on, most of the time it
is because they have not waited long enough for the wireless conncetion
to be made before they drive off out of the AP range.

If there was a little popup or some type of notification that would
tell the users when it was safe to attempt a logon that would help
tremendously.

Thanks!

if a laptop user has no connection they would still be able to login
via cached credentials
after a short while when the WLAN is connected they should be able to
begin or continue their work
the message is indeed annoying but nothing that keeps them from
starting up or logging into their machines

what is the problem then?

grtz

Well normally that wouldnt be a problem if the same user logged into
the same laptop everyday but my situation is shared laptops. A
different user could be logging in every day.
